Cape Town - A Cape Town man died after being shot seven
times in the face, the Daily Voice reported on Monday.
Jerome Scholtz was gunned down at the weekend, apparently by
gangsters, outside his home in Hanover Park.
A woman was also shot, but not seriously injured.
Scholtz's mother said her son had not been a gangster.
"He did his drugs and he was on tik, but he wasn't a
gangster so he didn't have to die like this," Brenda Davids told the
newspaper.
Scholtz was the third person in a week to be killed in
gang-related battles.
Last Sunday, Devan Klaasen, 24, was killed outside his
Hanover Park home. Days later, Mogammat Noort Cox was shot and killed after
leaving his sister's home.
