Cape Town - Police are trying to hunt down a man who allegedly raped a 12-year-old boy in Delft.

The boy was walking around a block in Leiden, Delft, at around 20:30 one evening late in May when the man apparently grabbed him and took his watch and cap.

“He ordered him to lay flat on his stomach and pulled down his clothes and raped him,” police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said.

The suspect is 1.7 metres tall, well built, and aged between 30 and 35.

Anyone with information on the man’s whereabouts is urged to contact Constable Nomabandla Kolweni on 084 498 0696 or 082 334 8772.
