Cape Town taxi driver shot

Cape Town - A taxi driver was seriously injured in a shooting in Nyanga on Saturday, said Western Cape police.
Superintendent Billy Jones said the 30-year-old man was shot in the stomach and leg at about 08:00 at the corner of Lansdowne Road and Emms Drive.
"The man was taken a nearby hospital where his condition is serious, but stable," said Jones.
"Police also seized three licensed firearms from persons in the taxi fraternity for investigation purposes."
He said the motive and circumstances were being investigated and a case of attempted murder had been opened.
