Cape Town 'teacher' appears for dagga

Cape Town - A Cape Town man, believed to be a teacher, has appeared in court for alleged possession of 150 dagga plants with an estimated street value of R250 000, it was reported on Tuesday.
The Daily Voice reported that Graeme Carr was released on bail of R3 000 by the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
He was arrested on Friday after a week of surveillance on his Kenilworth home.
Police told the newspaper the dagga plants were being cultivated in a specially-designed, temperature-controlled area in the bedrooms.
Captain Frederick van Wyk said Carr was an art teacher at a school in Gugulethu.
His lawyer told the newspaper he was employed by the Gugulethu Cape College, but it was unable to find the school to obtain comment.
The Gugulethu campus of the College of Cape Town, the only Further Education and Training (FET) college in the area, said it had no record of anyone by that name.
The case was postponed until 25 July.
