Cape Town woman stabbed to death in home

Cape Town - A Cape Town woman was stabbed and killed, allegedly by her
ex-boyfriend, in her Atlantis home, it was reported on Tuesday.
The Cape Argus reported that a man entered 20-year-old Melandri Bukkies'
home on Monday morning and assaulted her with a knife before fleeing.
She died at the scene.
Her mother Mina Arendse said their daughter had an interdict against her
alleged attacker.
"He must have seen that she was at home alone... we hope the police can
catch him because we are scared he will come for as well," she said.
Police said they were searching various sites for the suspect.
Second killing
Town councillor Barbara Rass said this was the second killing of a woman in
their area in a week.
"We've lost two girls - both inside their own houses."
The nation expressed outrage at the gang-rape, murder and mutilation of
Anene Booysen, 17, in Bredasdorp, a small Western Cape rural town.
A few weeks later, the body of Ge-Audrey Bianca Green, 19, of Scottsville
was found stashed in a drawer beneath a bunk bed.
A week ago, the body of 18-year-old Jo-Anne Diane van Schalkwyk was found in
bushes near Atlantis.
