2012-06-07 16:47

Cape Town - A cash-in-transit security guard was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money in Parow on Thursday, Western Cape police said.

Captain Frederick van Wyk said the van had parked at a petrol station on 5th Avenue at about 07:45, where money was due to be collected from an office.

The guard was walking back to the van with a cash-box when he was held up by four men. They fled with the box and had yet to be arrested.

No one was injured.
