2010-09-24 19:35
Johannesburg - A tree feller is in a critical condition in a Johannesburg hospital after he injured himself with a chainsaw on Friday, Netcare 911 paramedics said.

Spokesperson Chris Botha said the man and his crew were cutting trees in Germiston around 10:00 when the accident occurred.

"Exact details of the accident are still speculative but the man had sustained serious lacerations from the chainsaw to his body," he said.

He said the injured man was stabilised at the scene and then transported to the Netcare Union hospital in a critical condition.
