2010-07-23 15:46
Cape Town - Johan du Toit, who has been charged with the murder of his wife, Chanel du Toit, allegedly had an argument with her the night before her death, YOU magazine revealed on Friday.

Chanel du Toit, 28, was found dead in the bedroom of their cottage on Dieu Donné wine estate near Franschhoek. Eight days later her 26-year-old husband, Johan, was arrested and charged with the killing.

YOU has learnt that on the night before Chanel died, she and her husband attended a party and apparently had an argument.

Someone close to the investigation also revealed to YOU that police are probing talk of extramarital affairs.

According to the magazine, cellphone records apparently show Johan made more calls to Chanel’s best friend than she did. This friend also acknowledged some inappropriate behaviour with Johan.

Du Toit is out on R6 000 bail.
