2015-02-12 12:56

Cape Town - Scuffles have broken out at an EFF press conference in Cape Town on Thursday, where party MP Andile Mngxitama was to address the media.

Members of the party opposed to the briefing tried to stop it from going ahead, with Western Cape EFF chairperson Bernard Joseph accusing Mngxitama of not having permission to go ahead with the presser.

Joseph accused Mngxitama of trying to cause a new Cope.

According to reports, scuffles broke out.

Mngxitama later tweeted that he was fine, and insisted that the briefing will go ahead.

Latest reports say that police have now arrived at the venue.
