East London - A 42-year-old convicted child sex offender, found guilty on April on 14 counts of indecent assault on young boys, was sentenced to 15 years in prison by East London regional court on Friday.
The trial of Bruce Ehrlich, a businessman and karate expert, lasted for three years.
Police captain George Green and clinical psychologist David Edwards both testified in court earlier this week.
Their evidence concerned events following Ehrlich's conviction in Grahamstown in 1991 where he was found guilty on six counts of indecently assaulting teenage boys.
Green described how he followed Ehrlich to Johannesburg where he (Ehrlich) had broken sentence conditions by entering a gym with a boy under the age of 17.
He said Ehrlich and the boy emerged from a house the following morning. Edwards said he had seen Ehrlich four times in his consulting rooms after his Grahamstown conviction.
Edwards described Ehrlich as a "fixated paedophile" during cross-examination by state prosecutor Nikki Turner.
