Child porn 8 to ring in 2011 in prison

Pretoria - Eight people accused of a string of charges ranging from sexually assaulting children to child pornography will find out in the New Year whether their bid to get bail has been successful.
Pretoria Magistrate Pierre Wessels said after hearing closing argument in the bail application that the case was a complex one in which he had to carefully consider his decision which would be handed down on January 4.
The eight face charges of rape, indecent assault, sexual grooming of children and possession, manufacturing and distribution of child pornography.
Those arrested include a grandfather, 58, grandmother, 57, their two sons from previous relationships, aged 34 and 36, as well as the grandfather's brother, 61, his 42-year-old wife and their mentally disabled son.
The 26-year-old wife of one of the sons was also arrested.
According to reports, six children, from the age of four and older, were allegedly used in sex movies which were then distributed.
Four other children have been removed from the care of the accused and are undergoing psychological and medical examinations.
The State is investigating the possibility of a connection with a child pornography syndicate.
