Cop shoots wife, self

Johannesburg - A 40-year-old metro police officer shot and wounded his wife before committing suicide by turning the gun on himself in Chiawelo, Soweto on Sunday night.
Metro police spokesman Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said Chippa Moleho and his 28-year-old estranged wife were involved in an argument when he shot her in the back of the head, before turning the gun on himself.
Moleho lived at their home with his mother who alerted a friend to the shooting.
The officer died on the way to hospital and his wife survived the shooting and was in a stable condition in the Lenmed clinic in Lenasia.
The couple had a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son who were currently being looked after by Moleho's mother.
