Copper thieves strike again

Johannesburg - Copper cable worth about R66 200 was stolen in four different incidents between Wednesday and Thursday, Mpumalanga police said.
In the latest incident R43 200 worth of copper cable was stolen on Thursday.
Earlier on Thursday, at about 02:00, it was reported that R20 000 worth of copper cable was stolen in Kriel.
On Wednesday at about 19:00 in Ogies it was discovered that R2 000 worth of copper cable had been stolen.
Earlier on Wednesday, in Ogies at about 16:00, R10 000 worth of copper cable was stolen.
Superintendent Izak van Zyl said no one had been arrested, and cases of copper theft had been opened by the Ogies, Kriel and Delmas police.
