Cops applauded for doctor killer arrest
Johannesburg - The SA Police Service must be applauded for the speedy arrest of the alleged killer of Dr Senzosenkosi Mkhize, the Mpumalanga health and social development department said on Thursday.
"His arrest is a sigh of relief to the hospital community and all the people of Mpumalanga," said MEC Dikeledi Mahlangu.
On Tuesday a 32-year-old patient allegedly stabbed Mkhize in the chest at Middelburg hospital before running away. Mkhize died later that day.
The patient was arrested at Mhluzi township near Middelburg on Wednesday night.
Mkhize will be buried in Durban on Saturday.
