Cops confiscate burglars' loot

Bellville - Three burglars were arrested for being in possession of R44 000 worth of stolen household items in Durbanville, Cape Town police said on Thursday.
Superintendent Riaan Pool said the three were arrested after breaking into a home on Wenning street in Sonstraal, Durbanville.
The owner of the house was woken by sounds in the house and set off the alarm when he noticed an unknown man in his house.
Armed security guards responded and arrested the man at the scene.
Two of his accomplices fled on foot. With the help of the dog unit, police tracked down the two other robbers and arrested them not far from where the burglary took place.
Household items worth R44 000 were recovered.
Sinyangana said the three were expected to appear in Bellville magistrate's court on Thursday.
