Bloemfontein - Three Free State police reservists appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Thursday on charges of corruption and theft.
The hearing was postponed in chambers to April 16 but an identity parade will be held on April 15.
The three are former members of the provincial task team dealing with theft of vehicles in the Free State.
Earlier, Sergeant Thandi Mbambo said the reservists were arrested for allegedly assisting car thieves.
"Police received and followed up information about their involvement in car thefts.
"Their houses were searched and police found items like blue lights, police reflector jackets, bullet proofs, firearms and ammunition that they used for their criminal purposes."
