Durban - Police on Tuesday urged the public to be on the
lookout for a man who allegedly shot dead a colleague at Durban's King Edward
VII hospital earlier this month.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane said detectives from
Durban's Umbilo police station believed Khulekani Ntuli, 43, was hiding in
Gauteng.
Ntuli allegedly shot dead 54-year-old Sipho Mfayele, a
senior employee in the hospital's human resources department, on 28 February.
"The suspect allegedly shot and killed the victim
after he was told of the results of his misconduct disciplinary appeal. The
victim was shot twice in the chest and died while receiving treatment,"
Zwane said.
The man fled the hospital in his Toyota Corolla.
Zwane said anyone with information on Ntuli's whereabouts
could contact Umbilo detectives on 031 319 5100, or the investigating
officer, Warrant Officer Vusi Nkosi, on 072 107 2578.
A warrant of arrest has been issued.
