Cops pick up 364 in blitzes

Johannesburg - East Rand police have arrested 364 people from the Kwa-Thema, Katlehong, Boksburg, Vosloorus and Duduza, said police on Sunday.
"They were arrested for a variety of offences, including shoplifting, being in possession of drugs, being in possession of unlicensed firearms, driving under the influence, housebreaking, possession of stolen goods and assault," said superintendent Andy Pieke.
Four unlicensed firearms were confiscated during the arrests.
He said that of the total arrests made, 53 people were illegal immigrants.
