Cape Town - Three police officers and a clerk have pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the rape of a woman in a Cape Town police station toilet, it was reported on Wednesday.

The Cape Times reported that Theodore Syster, Jaede Fillies, Beverly Carelse and Theo van Wyk made the plea in the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday.

The State alleged that on 15 June 2010, Syster raped the woman in the Elsies River police station toilet after he and Fillies "kidnapped" her and her boyfriend.

Fillies allegedly filmed some of the incident on his cellphone.

The woman's boyfriend, who was married to another woman, on Tuesday told the court they were kissing in a dark, quiet place in Viking Park when an unmarked car pulled up. Two officers took his girlfriend away in their car, with him following behind.

According to the report, he was held in a cell and eventually released. He was told his girlfriend would be dropped off later at home.

He said his girlfriend told him the next day she had been raped by Syster.

Syster and Fillies each face seven charges, Van Wyk three and Carelse two.
