Johannesburg - The widow of Avhatakali Netshisaulu made an SMS confession, her mother-in-law told the Johannesburg High Court on Thursday, the SABC reported.
Wrapping up her testimony after cross-examination in the murder trial of her daughter-in-law, Dzudzanani Netshisaulu told the court that Mulaulo Sivhidzo, her daughter-in-law, had made an alleged SMS confession, and that she had disappeared for over two hours before her husband's murder.
Netshisaulu's widow, his distant cousin, Nthabudzeni Matzhenene and alleged hitman Arnold Sello are accused of his murder in December 2006.
The charred remains of Netshisaulu, the son of City Press editor Mathatha Tsedu, were found in the boot of his car.
Sivhidzo denied any involvement in her husband's murder.
She was the first person to discover the burning car.
