Cradle murder: No arrests yet

2010-10-25 10:48
Johannesburg - The two men who shot and killed Chris Couremetis after a wedding in Muldersdrift, north of Johannesburg, were still at large, Gauteng police said on Monday.

"We have made no arrests as yet and are still following up on information," Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said.

Couremetis, a friend of convicted drug trafficker Glenn Agliotti, was shot dead in the parking lot of the Cradle Restaurant in Muldersdrift on October 10.

His killers took his Rolex watch and R10 000 in cash. He had been walking to his car after a wedding, when two men opened fire on him.

Couremetis, in his 30s, was a South African with Greek origins.

No other guests were injured.
