Nelspruit - A crocodile is believed to have eaten parts of a farm worker who drowned while fishing along in the Nkomazi River in Mpumalanga.
Lucas Fumo, 30, drowned on Thursday last week, but police divers only found his body on Saturday, said Komatipoort police spokesperson Constable Michael Ngomane on Monday.
"We suspect a crocodile ate some of him because parts of his face, stomach and hands were missing," Ngomane said.
Fumo had been fishing with a friend who told police that Fumo jumped into the river when a fish pulled one of his fishing rods into the water.
He disappeared immediately.
