Johannesburg - The director general of the Limpopo provincial government Nelly Hlamalani Manzini has been suspended, the provincial government said on Tuesday.

"Dr Nelly Hlamalani Manzini has been put on a precautionary suspension with immediate effect pending the finalisation of her disciplinary enquiry by the office of the Premier," spokesperson Tebatso Mabitsela said in a statement.

Manzini was suspended in connection with awarding of a tender to Samba Trading in 2006.

Rachel Modipa was appointed the acting director general of the provincial government.

The Limpopo government is known for sidelining non-Pedis. This seems to be one of those things! Remove Shangaans and Venda from high positions and replace them with Pedis. This has been the agenda for a very long time in that province, so this does not surprise me, never.

In 2006! it's too late, you cant get the money back, they still keep the salary for the last 4 years and now taking the same salary (plusn increase) at home on suspension. You need to find this stuff out and take action at the time. Useless.
