'Dad will pay my fine'

Scottsburgh - A 19-year-old student from Pretoria was fined R20 000 for speeding on Thursday by a Scottburgh magistrate after he was trapped at a speed of 196km/h in a 120 km/h zone.

Nicholas Coetzee said his father will be paying the fine for him, and he will have to figure out a way to pay him back.

RTI spokesperson Rajen Chinaboo said Coetzee told officers he was trying out his mother's new car, a BMW 320d.

Coetzee was the fastest recorded speedster the RTI has managed to stop this festive season.

You need to be encouraging the love of learning, this method is not going to give you results, at best reluctant bums on seats. Perhaps a school bus system as is seen in the USA is a far more realistic solution to helping the families get children to school on time.
