Daughter stabs own dad

Badplaas - A man is fighting for his life at Pretoria Academic Hospital after his daughter stabbed him with a knife.

The man had hit his 24-year-old daughter for not cooking him pap and meat when he arrived home drunk at Dlamini A section near Badplaas on September 28.

She had tried to explain there was no electricity, but was hit hard on the head, said Badplaas Inspector Joel Zulu.

He said the daughter, who suffers from epilepsy, then grabbed a knife from the table and stabbed her father so hard in his back, that the knife protruded out his stomach.

They were both taken to Embhuleni Hospital for treatment and the father was immediately transferred to Pretoria Academic Hospital.

Two weeks earlier, the daughter had lodged a complaint at the Badplaas police station against her father.

"She claimed that whenever she had an epileptic fit, her father would take advantage of her and rape her," he said.

Police opened a case of domestic violence, which was referred to the domestic court.

The woman's mother was apparently aware of the abuse but failed to speak out.

"The daughter is fed-up with her mother for always covering up for her husband," said Zulu.

Following the stabbing, police have also opened a case of assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm against the father.

"The father does not seem willing to lay any charges against his daughter," said Zulu.

Sean says... @nthabsh - ``Blame doesn't solve anything`` You are 100 % right ! But what is one of the biggest problems in S.A ? Blame , blame of apartheid ! What has been learnt from apartheid , nothing ! Same mistakes , even worse , get made over and over and then this sh@t excuse of apartheid gets used ! To make a long story short - I do blame the ANC government for the mess the education is in ! This government is so corrupt and I personally see not much of a bright future for most South Africans. You can say what you want to and hope for the best , but reality is reality and we are going down sh@t street , thanks to this f@cken corrupt leadership ! Read the article...
