Dbn woman shot on pavement

Durban - A woman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after she was shot in Wentworth, Durban paramedics said on Friday.

"Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the woman, in her early 30s, lying on the pavement in a pool of blood on the corner of Quality and Landsdowne roads at 21:00 on Thursday," said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

It was believed she was on her way home from work when robbers attacked her.

"It is unknown how many suspects there were or if this shooting is anything to do with a robbery, as she still had her belongings with her."

She was taken to hospital after advanced life support interventions were performed on her, said Banks.
