Mokopane - Police have yet to arrest anyone for the murder of a missionary who believed that Satan had come to destroy life in South Africa.
It was Rheinette Meyer's turn on Saturday when her daughter and son-in-law found her murdered on the floor in the main bedroom at about 18:00.
Her throat had been slit.
Just the day before, 57-year-old Meyer told a friend twice that: "Satan has come to butcher, destroy and steal in our land".
She and her husband, Pastor Faan Meyer, were independent missionaries and were doing missionary work in Mafefe (formerly Burgersfort) in Limpopo when she was murdered.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Superintendent Mohale Ramatseba, said on Wednesday that nothing was stolen and that police were following all leads and hoped to make an arrest soon.
He said her neighbours said Meyer often saw Satan in her dreams and while attending church.
She and her husband were scheduled to leave for Malawi this week to continue their missionary work.
