Decomposed body found in Grahamstown

2012-01-21 13:00
Johannesburg - A decomposed body of a 32-year-old woman was found in Grahamstown - days after she left her family home, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.

Captain Mali Govender said Nomalunga Ngqoyiya had left her extension seven home in Grahamstown on January 8, and did not inform them where she was going.

Four days later her mother tried calling her cellphone but could not reach her. Believing that she would return, her family did not call the police.

A local resident discovered her decomposing body late on Thursday afternoon not far from her home, said Govender.

Upon hearing the information the family contacted the police and identified her by her clothing and personal items which were found close to her body.

A post mortem is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of death.

We have been taught that we need three meals a day in order to make it through the day and while most of us indulge in more than our fair share there is a large portion of South Africans who are living off barely enough to sustain them.
