Dept probing new textbook dump

2012-09-06 16:56

Polokwane - The Limpopo education department is investigating a report of 200 new school textbooks found dumped next to the Polokwane Magistrate's Court, the department said on Thursday.

"We are assessing the situation and checking the incident. We are not aware what type of textbooks were dumped, and we have not been made aware that they were actually dumped," said spokesperson Pat Kgomo.

"We are still investigating the matter internally."

The Beeld newspaper reported earlier on Thursday that the textbooks were found on Wednesday.

It was the latest in a series of discarded book discoveries since July 2012, according to the newspaper.

The books reportedly found on Wednesday were syllabus textbooks for English and Afrikaans, for different grades.

The police said they were also investigating the incident.

The reason is instead of concentrating on education they waste time on investigating criminal activity's ..but then with a cop force like ours its no wonder...

...and we have not been made aware that they were actually dumped," No, they weren't actually dumped, they were neatly packed, so that makes everything all right.
