Dindi taxi owner shot at home

POLICE are investigating the murder of a taxi owner from Dindi, outside Pietermaritzburg, who was shot dead last Thursday.

He has been identified as Zakhele Kheswa (45). Police confirmed that he was shot and killed in his home last Thursday afternoon.

It is alleged that armed men went into his house and shot him in his room in view of his family.

“Police are still investigating the matter, but we can confirm that nothing was taken during the shooting,” police spokesperson Captain Musa Ntombela said.

“At this stage we cannot clarify whether the attack has anything to do with taxi violence”
