Johannesburg - A doctor accused of sexually assaulting four boys appeared in
the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, Eastern Cape police said.
Police spokesperson Gerda Swart said the case was
postponed to 1 July because the doctor had brought a new advocate to court, and
he had to familiarise himself with the case.
"It will be heard for five days from 1 to 5 July,"
said Swart.
The 54-year-old man was arrested on 19 September after
two mothers opened cases of sexual assault in August.
He has since appeared in court several times.
He is out on R2 000 bail.
The sexual offences apparently took place in 2003 in the
doctor's consulting room in Jeffreys Bay. Three of his alleged victims were
siblings, aged between 8 and 10 at the time.
The fourth child was assaulted when he was 9-years-old.
