Doctors amazed at Pippie's recovery

2012-09-04 08:02

Johannesburg - Doctors are said to be astonished at the recovery that burnt toddler Pippie Kruger is making.

The 3-year-old is currently getting intensive therapy at a rehabilitation clinic in Auckland Park after being the first South African to have replacement skin grown for her at a US lab, reported the TimesLive.

The head of her rehabilitation team, Virginia Wilson, said she had been worried about infection initially but that all but two of the wounds had healed.

"I was astonished," said Wilson on Monday.

The toddler was said to be doing much better, sleeping through and smiling often despite her painful therapy.

She would also begin coming off her medication.

Wilson also said Pippie’s mother Anice was “amazing” and “in tune” with her child.

      charlesdumbwin.dumbwin - 2012-09-04 12:23

Jody, 'damn you're stupid', we do need God, you do too! God is good and He's blessed some scientists and doctors with great minds that can work with science and technology. Prayers have been answered here Jody, don't fight it. It just makes you look desperate.

      charlesdumbwin.dumbwin - 2012-09-04 12:42

Jody, try stay with me now as I connect the dots. God gives talents to all people. So yes, Muslim doctors are blessed with their God-given talents. Still following?

      charlesdumbwin.dumbwin - 2012-09-04 12:52

Also Jody, read the article again. Even the medical science fraternity are 'astonished', which tells us that this girl's recovery is beyond their comprehension. Miraculous even, wouldn't you say?

      juan.prinsloo.750 - 2012-09-04 14:10

@damntheman yes it would, God also goes by the name of Allah.

      jody.beggs - 2012-09-05 11:55

But BumWind xian think Muslims are going to hell , so why would god did them talents. Put credit where it is due , with man not god. If it was with god , it'll be a miracle , but its not...

  • ckreunen - 2012-09-04 08:10

    amen!

      juan.prinsloo.750 - 2012-09-04 14:12

No need to thank the doctors, they are professionals doing a job and receive financial reward for it. If you can't thank God, you shouldn't be thanking the doctors either

Psalm 14 (and Psalm 53) The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” ...

      jody.beggs - 2012-09-04 13:52

@QuintSch the buy bull also says call someone a fool and go to hell. Matthew 5:22

      johleneh - 2012-09-04 16:11

Oh my word the most disgusting display of I know/am better than you I have ever seen. To hijack a little girls plight in order to further your own beliefs... Ashtonishingly shocking... you guys ever imagine Pippie's mom reading this and just being taken aback that the commentary has degenerated into a back and forth between Christians and Atheists? Flippen A*holes, regardless of your so called morals/beliefs.

    Against all odds!

  • jody.beggs - 2012-09-05 12:02

Who deserves more credit god or the doctors who spent there lives dedicated to learning their skills. If is was a miracle or god inspired , why did he wait 2000 years ? The only thing keeping pippie going is herself and the awesome medical care. There is no evidence faith alone can save anyone ! Otherwise why the medical treatment ? If this happened 10 years ago , chances are she would be dead, where was god then when others needed a miracle ? Why does god ignore amputees ? Thank you doctors and science , keep up the good work. For the religious turds out there , Report my comment and get it deleted , I would expect no less from someone running from the truth ! Damn the man.
