Johannesburg - A driver was killed and another seriously injured when their vehicles collided head-on along the M4 Ruth First freeway, near the Water Road off-ramp in Durban, on Saturday, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.
The man, who was found critically injured after a minibus taxi and a meter taxi collided, died on his way to hospital, Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeff Wick said.
The other driver was still in a critical condition.
"All indications are that a car bound north had veered across the centre median and slammed into a meter taxi travelling towards the city," Wicks said.
