Cape Town - Four people accused of abducting and killing three men in an apparent vigilantism attack will appear in Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court, according to a report on Saturday.

The Weekend Argus reported that three men and a woman would be in the dock on Monday.

The bodies of Luxulo Mpontshane, 25, Mabhuti Matinise, 20, and Sivuyile Rota, 28, were found on the Macassar sand dunes by a police patrol early on Thursday morning.

The men were full of marks and injuries.

According to a Cape Times report on Friday, the men were allegedly abducted the night before their bodies were discovered. They were apparently tortured for nine hours by community members who held them responsible for the theft of a plasma television.

Macassar police, who refused to be named, told the newspaper they found sticks that could have been used as murder weapons as well as a plastic container with a chemical fluid in it, which may have been forced down the men's throats.
