Durban crash claims 1 life

Durban - One person has been killed and five others injured on Saturday after two taxis collided in Durban, paramedics said.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Grey and Leopold streets, said Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha.

"Reports from the scene indicate that the two taxis collided in the intersection at around 17:50, one of the vehicles veered off and smashed into the market area killing a pedestrian," he said.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and found five others injured, one seriously. After they were stabilised, the injured were transported to Addington hospital for treatment.

Police were investigating.

    TAxis should be taken off the road period! Im pretty sure they cause atleast 60% of the road deaths in SA annually!!!
