Johannesburg - KwaZulu-Natal police arrested a man in Durban on Monday, for alleged fraud involving driving licences, police said.

The 47-year-old, a former presenter for the Hindivani community radio station, was arrested on Monday morning, police spokesperson Vincent Mdunge said.

The man allegedly promised people licences for R2 500 each, but never delivered.

"Police investigations have revealed that he was operating between 2010 and June 2011," Mdunge said.

Police believe the man operated mainly out of the Verulam, Rossburg and Eshowe testing stations. He was expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
