2011-09-27 22:02

Johannesburg - A 17-year-old boy was killed on Tuesday when he fell out of a moving bus in Reiger Park on the East Rand, Ekurhuleni metro police said.

The pupil was standing at the passenger door when the bus took a turn on the corner of Abraham Foster and Goedehoop roads around 14:00, spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said.

It appeared the pupil slipped and fell under the bus which ran over him, Mokheseng said. He died on the scene.

The bus was transporting pupils from Boksburg to Vosloorus. The intersection where the accident happened was closed to traffic for more than two hours.

A case of culpable homicide was opened.

RIP poor boy. Um why was he standing by the open door??? Was the door faulty, or was it overloading, or negligence?
