Eight schoolkids die in crash

Scottburgh - Eleven people, eight of them school children, were killed and 19 people injured when two minibuses collided and caught alight near Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast on Wednesday.
KwaZulu-Natal transport department spokesperson Thabang Chiloane said it was uncertain as yet what caused the collision.
One of the minibuses was transporting primary school children home when the accident occurred.
The injured were admitted to the GJ Crookes Hospital in Scottburgh.
Chiloane said the driver of the one the taxis involved in the accident had apparently fled the scene.
