Johannesburg - An elderly Limpopo man has been found dead in Ga-Chuene Maratapelo, Lebowakgomo, police said on Monday.

The body of Lesiba Charles Tlouana, 76, was found in his room on Sunday morning by his neighbour, who alerted the police, Captain Mamphaswa Seabi said.

Seabi said no foul play was suspected in Tlouana's death. An autopsy would be conducted.

"We would like to appeal to anyone knowing the family of the deceased to come forward as he was staying alone," he said.

Police had begun an inquest.
