Elderly woman killed

Polokwane - A 73-year-old woman was killed and her 75-year-old husband injured by intruders on their farm in the Lephalale area near Polokwane on Sunday.
Limpopo police's Malesela Ledwaba said on Monday two men attacked the woman, who was alone, at about 17:00.
They demanded a cellphone and cash before battering her with a sharp instrument. She died of head injuries.
The men fled without stealing anything.
The victim's husband arrived later and was also attacked, but was saved by his dogs. He was taken to the Polokwane regional hospital for treatment.
Police were alerted about the attack and arrested two men.
