Cape Town - One in ten South African journalists have already responded to a National Press Club survey on their working conditions, the club said on Monday.
It said it was encouraged by the "early response rate" to the poll, launched last week.
The survey sought to establish whether the working conditions of journalists were conducive to good journalism.
It was hoped this would add new information to the debate about media freedom and the quality of reporting.
