Johannesburg - Pages on social networking site Facebook that supposedly belong to President Jacob Zuma have been deleted, the Presidency said on Sunday.
"President Jacob Zuma does not have a personal Facebook account and is reachable through the Presidency Facebook page and his personal Twitter account only," spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said.
"The Presidency has...removed some of these fake pages...run by imposters," he said.
The Presidency currently has five social media accounts: "The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa" on Facebook, a YouTube account, two accounts on Twitter, and one on photo-sharing site Flickr.
"The official accounts can also be accessed from www.thepresidency.gov.za," Kodwa said.
