2013-01-01 14:53
Johannesburg - A robber who dressed as a real policeman, after stealing a
firearm and uniform, has been arrested, North West police said on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Aafie Botma said that towards the end of
December, a policeman was robbed of his uniforms and firearm at his Ikageng
home outside of Potchefstroom.
Members of the public then reported that there was an imposter seen several
times wearing a police uniform.
On the last day of 2012, the fake cop, aged 28, was arrested.
"He was found with two sets of police uniforms and a firearm,"
said Botma.
The man will appear in court on Wednesday.
