Fake visas: Trinidad warns SA

Johannesburg - The High Commission for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on Friday warned against fraudulent visas and forged letters circulating in South Africa and other African countries.

In recent months the commission had seen fraudulent entry visas and forged letters stating that individuals did not require visas, it said in a statement.

It called on travel agencies to register with the commission to protect their clients.

The commission asked the public to liaise directly with it, or only with travel agencies registered with it, when applying for visas to enter the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
