Family of four die in N1 crash

Bloemfontein - A family of four were killed in an
accident on the N1 highway near Ventersburg, police said on Monday.
Six people in a second vehicle, a family from Dubai, were
injured in the early-morning accident, 15km from Ventersburg in the direction
of Winburg, Free State police spokesperson Mamello Macheoane said.
The driver of the BMW, aged 55, his wife and two sons,
were heading to Johannesburg when their vehicle overturned and collided with a
Toyota Raider double-cab bakkie carrying the family from Dubai.
All the occupants of the BMW were killed. All six members
of the Dubai family were taken to a Welkom hospital for treatment.
Ventersburg police were investigating a charge of
culpable homicide.
