Fisherman dies in False Bay
Cape Town - A fisherman drowned when his boat capsized in False Bay on Saturday, the National Sea Rescue Institute said.
Anthony Zimmery, 47, was trapped underneath the hull of the boat and a bystander from the beach swam out to help him, spokesperson Craig Lambinon said.
He tried to keep Zimmery afloat when two sea rescue swimmers showed up and helped take him to shore. Resuscitation was performed but he died on scene.
Two other fishermen who were onboard with Zimmery managed to swim safely to shore.
