Johannesburg - Western Cape police were searching on Thursday for the petrol-bombers of shops owned by foreigners in Beacon Valley, in the Western Cape.

Lieutenant Colonel André Traut said four tuckshops owned by two Bangladeshis, a Somali and a Pakistani were set alight on Wednesday night.

They were petrol-bombed within minutes of each other, and one injury was reported, he said.

"The damage in those shops is extensive."

He said residents alerted the police.

This is sheer and pure hatred for foreigners - maybe those responsible should be more enterprising and stop feeling deprived and expecting hand outs - all these shop owners want is to be able to make an honest living.
