Foreigner killed during hijacking in Krugersdorp

Johannesburg - A Nigerian man has been shot and killed in a fight during a hijacking in Krugersdorp, west of Johannesburg.

The 52-year-old man was shot in his head around 20:00 on Monday when a fight between him and six hijacking suspects broke out in Sivewright Street, Krugersdorp, police spokesperson Constable Tshepiso Mashale said.

"The victim was shot and the suspects drove away with the deceased’s vehicle [a silver Corsa]," she said.
She urged witnesses to assist the police in their investigations.
