Cape Town - Former Springbok rugby players playing for Bath will reportedly join the search for Durban-born Donavan Van Lill, who has been missing in the UK for two weeks.

“I will be meeting with some of the South African rugby players from Bath Rugby on Wednesday for a press conference,” Melodie Snyman told News24.

“Luke Watson and Butch James will be some of the guys there,” she said.

The Facebook group Please help find Donavan van Lill, which now has over 13 000 members will also be raising funds to help Donavan’s mother travel to the UK.

“I’m off to a meeting to see if we can set up a bank account and organise some sort of fundraiser to help get his mom here,” said Snyman.

“There are friends of Don here where she will be able to stay, so that’s [accommodation] is not a big worry for us at the moment,” she said. “The big thing is the visa and the flight."
