Krejcir survives 'James Bond' hit attempt

Czech businessman Radovan Krejcir speaks at the scene where he survived an attempted hit on his life in Bedfordview. Watch.WATCH

Johannesburg - One of Radovan Krejcir’s former employees has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to murder the Czech businessman, Eyewitness News reported on Thursday.

It is thought Brendan Harrison might have been involved in a conspiracy to murder Krejcir. This is separate to an attempted hit on Krejcir last week during which his car was fired on outside his Bedfordview business.

However, sources have told The Star that investigators are looking into whether Harrison is part of a larger group plotting to kill Krejcir.

Harrison was arrested at a South African border post last month.

He appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and will remain behind bars for another three weeks. Harrison says he feels safer behind bars as he fears Krejcir will have him killed, The Star reported.

Harrison’s sister, Heather Rush maintains that he is innocent and is “not capable of plotting or committing murder”.

Last week, several shots from a red Volkswagen Polo were reportedly fired at Krejcir while he parked his black car outside his office near Eastgate, Johannesburg.

A remote-control-triggered gun with twelve barrels was used to shoot at Krejcir.
